Funky House, Dirty Electro...

At risk of sounding like a grumpy old bastard, but WTF do people mean when applying terms such as dirty, funky, filthy etc to a sub genre of music?










And why is it the least interesting and most derivitive styles of these sub genres get labelled as such?

Why is it a funky, sexy, dirty night requires one to get dressed up, spend time with a sophisticated crowd of up for it clubbers - when there is nothing sophisticated about the venue, the crowd nor dropping mind altering pills and stumbling around in a small darkened room for hours on end.

Why, why, why?

Why do I care, this isn't even new nor news.
